Kid Cudi

Look out for Kid Cudi. Pose loves him! His lyrics are simplistic, but fun and have a house-party meets the streets of Cleveland vibe. The protege of Kanye is breaking into the scene with a sound all his own. The album, A Kid Named Cudi, features Wale and Chip tha Rippa. The well know single, Day N Nite, is featured on the album, but look beyond what you already know on this album (the Crookers mix is better anyway). Man on the Moon is chill and winter-y but still has a bit of a street edge. The Prayer pushes aside present day hip-hop songs, and tells a story that expresses Cudi's serious side. It is possible for this track to get lost among the other more fun, less deep tracks. Cleveland is the Reason and Maui Wowie are the perfect blend of beats, so that you feel as though you are where Cudi is speaking of.
